The Task:

The task involves creating a mobile application for BitSavvy. The app will offer a user-friendly and engaging experience for young investors, combining interactive learning with practical investment opportunities. The design must resonate with Gen Z and Millennials, featuring a modern, approachable interface that simplifies complex financial concepts.

The Outcome:

An app that has a customizable dashboard, learning academy, and fun animations. Bitsavvy offers fun gaming experiences like a virtual portfolio, an investing league (using the virtual portfolio), quizes and badges upon lesson completion and more settings that appeal to Gen Z

The Process:

The cryptocurrency market has seen exponential growth, with many platforms focusing primarily on experienced investors. There is a notable absence of educational content tailored for beginners, leaving a significant gap for new investors to fill.

Here were some of my key takeaways:

easy to use interface
utilize simple vocabulary when possible
can incorporate vitual portfolio and compete with friends as this would appeal to gen z
considering the complexity of crypto the UI should be very minimal
utilize video content for foundational material alongside articles
an academy where users can signup and have tiers (novice badge, advanced etc)

Brand Identity & System

The onboarding feature helps give new users a general overview of what bitsavvy has to offer in a simple yet fun way. The keypad login offers returning users an easy yet secure way to login.

Onboarding:

With widgets, users can customize their dashboards however they choose to easily access what they prioritize, a "Top Coins" section, and a goals section to track their financial progress. Additionally I've added the 3 most common actions as buttons towards the top.

Customizable Dashboard:

Users get the option to enroll in the Crypto Academy which is comprised of multiple levels in which users can earn badges upon completion. Throughout the user's progress, there are progress bars to help the user visualize how much they've completed. Upon completion of each section they are congratulated with an illustration.

Including the virtual portfolio as a feature will help many first time crypto investors as they can explore and learn how to invest freely. Additionally they can practice the principles they've learned in Crypto Academy while competing with friends.
